Thank you for your interest in the Great Wall of Poetry. We accept all poems that follow the following formatting guides. If you would like to submit a poem, YOU MUST follow these guidelines. We can not accept poems that do not follow this format. If you have trouble following these guidelines, please contact,

Formatting Code for Poetry Submissions - PLEASE READ

Your cooperation is appreciated. The formatting procedure is in place to help expedite posting poetry submissions and ensuring that your poems are presented in the way you intended. One poem can take up to 20 minutes to reformat. We are a volunteer organization and due to the overwhelming number of poems we receive we can not possibly post all of them if they do not follow this format. So please, follow the format. Thank you.

Please do not add a color to the font - use standard black.
Formatting should not include any tabs, tables, cells, or indents.
Use Default settings for everything - DO NOT set fonts, font size or line spacing-USE DEFAULTS.
Paragraphs should not be indented but separated by one half inch space. However via email the formatting frequently is disrupted so please double space your paragraphs but single space each line.
Please indicated whether or not you would like to be credited for the poem and list your name as you wish it to appear and use, this format for titling;
Title
by Your Name (penn name, anonymous, etc.) PLEASE NOTE!!! Whatever name you choose to list in the By line for your poems is the name that will be permanently listed on this website. So choose your By line carefully. This can not be amended.
If you have specific instructions for how your poem should be displayed, please SPELL it out clearly as we are not responsible for formatting errors.
Please submit your poem directly in the body of your email. DO NOT send poems in a word document or any other attachment. Do to virus and spam we can not accept any poems sent as attachments.
Finally, submit your poem to with the subject heading "Poetry Wall Submission".
Please note: You are responsible for correcting spelling and punctuation. Poems can not be submitted the way emails are written - spelling and punctuation count!!! Run a spell check on your poem before you submit it. Any poem that has excessive grammatical errors, typos or spelling errors will not be accepted.
Poems with explicit and/or offensive language will not be accepted.
